Here are a few more recipes I've been experimenting with lately.
Graham Crackers
1 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. oat flour
1/3 c. plus 1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/3 c. butter
1 Tbsp. honey
1 Tbsp. Milk
Sift both flours, sugar and baking soda into a mixing bowl. Heat butter, honey and milk until melted. Pour into dry ingredients and stir until smooth. Let chill 30-45 min. Roll out dough to 1/4 in. Cut into squares. Bake in 250 degree oven for 15 minutes. Do not overbake! Prick crackers as they come from oven.
Wheat Thins
1 3/4 c. whole wheat flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. oil
1 c. water
Mix dry ingredients. Add oil, salt and water to mixture. Knead as little as possible to make a smooth dough. Roll dough very very thin. Score with a knife into desired sizes. Prick with a fork. Sprinkle dough with salt. Bake at 350 degrees until light brown and crisp about 30-35 minutes. cool, break apart.

Moving Day Part 2
Well it was quite a crazy day. We signed papers at 9 am on Friday and headed over to our rental to pick up a load of our stuff. On the way to the house the old truck we were using broke down and Chris got stranded with Claire. So I had to go get Claire (she was collecting broken glass from the road when I got there while Chris was on the phone trying to figure out what was wrong with the truck) and luckily Chris was able to get the truck back to the house. We thought we were going to have to take everything off the trailer! Then he left to get a rental truck and left me and Claire stranded at the house with no car. Jake was at a friends house because I made the crazy mistake of thinking I could do some painting before we moved everything in. Well the painting lasted about 5 days. Anyways, 3 pm rolled around and Claire and I were still stranded with nothing to eat. Luckily my blessed friend Danielle who was watching Jake came and got us and took us to the car so we could go get something to eat. It took Chris all day, but he got just about everything moved in one day all by himself. By the end some of our new neighbors came by and helped, which was a welcomed relief for him. After two trips back to Rigby that evening for stuff that we had left there we finally made it back to our new house at 10:30 pm. We were all exhausted, but amazingly the kids were still awake. While Jake was getting in bed he hit his mouth on the side of the bed and cut his lip pretty bad. He was screaming like crazy! I have never heard him so hysterical before. So needless to say we made a great impression on our new neighbors by waking them all up to a blood curdling scream. He had a fat lip for a few days, but luckily he is okay.
But the next morning, we awoke to a beautiful house and a beautiful day and I found the kids sleeping like that. Moving is crazy and I'm glad it's over!!

Shriner's circus
Chris gets free tickets to the circus through his work. We took the kids to the circus last year and I forgot how totally lame it was. We got rained on a tiny bit and had a perfect view of a cool lighting storm. I think the kids had fun which I guess is really all that matters, and it's for a good cause right? The best part for me and I think the kids too - the overly priced cotton candy. YUM!!

Rigby Rodeo
On friday we went to the Rigby rodeo. I had never been to a rodeo and I have been meaning to go for a few years. We did know a few of the riders which made it a little bit more interesting. We did miss the excitement apparently after we left. The kids were getting cold and tired so we left before the bull riding and I guess one of the bulls got out! Jake tried to jump over the side a few times and we were right up front so we had a good view of one of the broncos just about trample a guy. Luckily he was okay. It was a fun experience and I want to go again sometime!
On Saturday moring we went to the parade and the kids had fun filling their pockets with candy and getting free chocolate milk.

The Birthday Boy!!
Jake is 2!!! It seems like he's been two forever already. We had a really good day. Chris' family helped us celebrate and we also skyped with Nana and Papa Ray and Jocelyn. Jake got a cute little rocking horse from his Nana and Papa. Grandma and Grandpa Snedaker and Parker got him this great little dragon and he also got some horses and new stuff for his train set.
He blew out his candles all by himself, but was too busy to eat any cake, he was enjoying his presents too much. He just loves all the horses he got and hasn't put them down yet.
Jacob has been such a calming sweet happy influence in our family and we are so glad to have him. We love you Jacob!!

Moving Day Part 1
Since we had to move out of our place and we can't move into our new house yet this is only part one of our moving adventure.
Where's Waldo
But the kids are soaking in plenty of quality time at Grandma and Grandpa's
I was trying to get a picture of Jake riding on the back of the big wheel with his arms around Claire while she drove around. It was pretty cute.

Boehme Reunion
My Papa's family has a reunion in Geneva Idaho every Memorial day. It's way over near Wyoming in the mountains and even though I have lived in idaho now almost 8 years I haven't been yet. So this year we decided it was time. Hilary and her family came; along with all of my uncles.
The girls got their faces painted by Aunt Amy. They both had to have "Snow White"
Cutie pie Ethan and Granny and Papa Boehme
Us at the old school where Papa used to go as a boy. (And where Uncle Jerry shot off his rockets for the kids after the reunion)
It's a little farming community where my Papa grew up. They have an old school and a tiny post office and church and I think that's about it. The Boehme's (my Papa's mom and dad) helped settle Geneva and Papa was showing us the place where the old homestead used to be and where he still owns some land. It was really neat to learn a little about his heritage. As we were driving back down the mountain pass, Chris and I were talking about how hard it would be to settle an area so far away from everything. I am so thankful for my ancestors who have done all the hard work for me!!! On our way out we stopped at the cemetary where the flag pole is dedicated to the Boehme's for being "Pioneers of Geneva". I wish I had taken a picture. We had a lot of fun and Chris won the quilt raffle!! Heehee.
