Easter

So we had a very fun Easter this year. Unfortunately the weather did not permit for an Easter egg hunt like last year, which was a blast. Claire got a Barbie from the Easter bunny and hasn't been able to put it down since, she calls it her Princess. She also LOVED coloring easter eggs. You forget just how exciting things are when you are little.

In other news I had a doctor's appointment today. We did an ultrasound to check my low-lying placenta and it has since moved up so everything looks good. It was fun seeing the little guy who is actually lying breech at the present time with his feet up by his face, probably the reason they said I am measuring three weeks ahead! I knew I wasn't just feeling huge, I'm actually looking almost a month bigger! I also passed my blood glucose test which means no gestational diabetes, Yeah! Claire was a very good girl and even helped the doctor a bit. It's a good feeling knowing that I'm in the home stretch. If he were born today he would have a 95% survival rate.

Also, Claire got a big girl bed this week and she loves it. Every time she gets in she says, "my own bed!" She cuddles right in and actually stays there! I didn't think it would be that easy. But, I guess she just really likes it, she even waits for me to come in, in the morning before she will get out of bed. I can't believe how old she is.

Tomatoes

So this post is dedicated to my father, whose gardening gene I inherited. Though I don't profess to be as great as he by any means, I do enjoy it quite a bit. I started my tomato plants about two weeks ago. My project for the summer, (besides a new baby) is to bottle my own spaghetti sauce. That is one thing I miss so much from home, is the home grown tomatoes that go into mom's delicious spaghetti sauce. So we shall see, so far so good. I still need to get actual tomatoes out of them! I'm hoping we will have a good garden this year. I guess I'm just so proud of my little plants. Dad asked me how many plants I had started and I said six, then he told me he did 54 last year. Gulp. I don't know what my mom is going to do with all of that tomato pulp. Needless to say, I started a few more plants. Go dad, you could probably feed a small country with your garden. We love you!

26 Weeks

So I seem to be about a week late posting my belly shots. But, here is me at 26 weeks, I will be 27 tomorrow. This pregnancy has been really good so far. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I've got my gestational diabetes test on the 24th and probably another ultrasound next month sometime. I've finally hit the 3rd trimester! Yeah me. Now if it would only start to feel like spring. We got 4 inches of snow today. Again we would like to let everyone know that we still do not have a name for this little boy, but suggestions are much appreciated. Please keep names you don't like to yourself, we wouldn't want you to feel bad knowing you had said something bad and we name our kid that anyways. Love ya! By the way, I am so sick of our camera, I haven't taken a good picture in about a year, it seems like as you can tell from my last several posts.

Birdie

There's a belly photo of me at 25 weeks. This shirt really accentuates my belly, I don't think I usually look this big, but maybe it's just denial. I'm just glad it's March, I'm one month closer to my due date yeah!

Had some cute photos of Claire I wanted to post, doesn't she look so old! I also wanted to share a quick story about Claire and her daddy. Chris has a golf video game that he and Claire like to play together through which he's been able to teach Claire the basics of the game. The other night we were watching some golf highlights where a guy made a 50 foot putt from the bunker. Claire stood up on the couch, put her hands in the air and shouted "Birdie". I turned to her not believing my ears while Chris gave her some encouragement, "that's right, that was a birdie" like it was no big deal. I was still looking around the room for a bird I assumed she was talking about. I then realized she was talking about the golf highlight, I turned to Chris and he was just smiling. I still can't believe her. Watch out Tiger Woods.
