Idaho Trip part 2

We had so much fun going back to Idaho, we all really felt like we were going back home. I don't know how long we will be in the desert, but I think Idaho will always be our home.

We had fun seeing cousins that have grown so much and playing at Grandmas house.

We met up with Benjamins family and went hiking to Cecret lake.

It was breathtaking up there.

Bear lake was so fun. I forgot just how beautiful it is up there.

The kids had a blast and the grown ups had a blast acting like kids on the jet skis.

It was so good to reunite with family we don't see nearly enough.

It was so good making memories with our own little family too. We are going to miss our Idahome.

Idaho trip part 1

This past weekend we headed up to Idaho and Utah to sign papers on our house and to meet up with family. We drove through the night and the kids did great!

It was so good to go back home.
The kids were so happy to be back at Grandma and Grandpas house.

Then we headed to Bear Lake for the Bennett reunion. It was so good to see all of the cousins. Everyone was able to make it except Beau who is serving a mission in Canada.

The kids played in the sand  and water the entire time!!

It was a perfect day for jet skis. The water was crystal clear and pretty warm.

We spent Sunday at the Snedakers enjoying all of the babies we don't get to see nearly enough!!

Then we headed to Utah. I had this idea in my head that I wanted to go on this hike up near my brothers house I had heard great things about and I'm so glad we made the effort. It was just amazing. The weather was a little cool but perfect for hiking. The kids had a blast! We hiked up to Cecret lake. When we made it to the lake I noticed a group of women talking and I noticed one of the voices, it was Sister Julie B. Beck! I had to go up to her and meet her as she has had a huge influence on me. I will never forget going to listen to her speak at the BYUI center. I came away in awe of her testimony, her power through the Holy Ghost and her knowledge of the gospel and remarkable faith. Her talk "Mothers who know" is my mothers handbook and when I'm having a hard time I pull out my tattered marked copy and read it again. I want to be like her!!
And it just so happen she was there with several other women from church general boards and Sister Susan W. Tanner who she served with in the YW general Presidency with. They were so great to talk with me give me a hug, and show me pictures. I asked me what they were doing up there and the said jokingly "Just trying to solve the worlds problems". That struck me as I know it's something that weighs heavily on each of their minds and they had come to the mountains to find answers they were seeking. I will never forget that experience!!

On our way down we ran into some moose!
It was so beautiful and such a memorable hike.
