Summer fun

We went down to Utah this past weekend to go to the Manti pageant with Chris' family and to see my mom who is in town and my sister's new baby.

The pageant was really fun, there were a ton of people and I was surprised how they were able to fit so many people in. Claire loved the pageant and it was a really good learning experience for her. Jake was a good boy and slept through the whole thing. Claire also got to meet a few of the cast members which was fun, she was a little nervous at first but was really enthralled with their makeup and costumes.

We actually got out of Manti quickly, unfortunately Claire had to go potty. So we stopped at the first gas station we could find and there was a line at least 15 people long. Well since Claire is still new at the potty training business I wasn't sure she could hold it so I took her out to the car, got a pull-up on her and we continued to drive to find somewhere not so crowded, to my dismay there was no gas station for 40 miles! She was crying because she really needed to go and kept holding it, she wouldn't go in her pull-up, feeling like the worst mother in the world we pulled over on the side of the highway and of course she wouldn't go outside either. She made it about an hour before she finally gave in, which I think is some kind of a record for a 3 year old. Unfortunately her pull-up couldn't quite hold it all and she was soaked for the rest of the drive. It's definitely a drive I will never forget.

We had lots of fun with family, Claire of course was so sad to leave her cousins, but we'll be back next week for more fun times.

A week in Pictures

Just had a few cute pics I wanted to post. We took Claire to the circus with Chandler, Rowan, M&T and Parker. We also took the kids to the Drive-in to see "UP" - cute show by the way. We had a fun week just enjoying our cute kiddies and time with family.

It's Official...

My baby is ONE! I can't believe how fast the year has flown. We went to Green Canyon hot springs for the afternoon and then did pizza and I made him a basketball cake. It was a fun day. Jake is growing big, he has 6 teeth, he's saying 5-10 words and doing a few signs. He just loves to play, get into mischief and be a little boy. We love him and are so grateful to have him in our family. He is such a good, content little guy.

And...
Our house is up for sale! Yep we are finally making the move into something that fits us a little better. We're so excited and hope everything goes smoothly.

88

....that's how many degrees it's supposed to be today! I'm so ready for summer that I chopped my hair on saturday - 5 inches. I got the pool out for the kiddies and plan to spend the whole day outside. I love sun, summer, warmth! Not to mention our trees are all in beautiful bloom and the birds are chirping. Ahh.

Love em.

Can I just say how proud I am of this guy!

He graduated on Saturday with his Masters in Business Admin. It was a lot of work and sleepless nights - but I got through it - haha. He really did work hard and I am so glad I have such a great guy who's willing to work so hard for his family.

Love you honey!

Also wanted to mention my great Mother's day. Chris got me flowers, chocolate, and a card- what more could a girl ask for? He even changed a few diapers- now that's going above and beyond. He helped the kids with a cute little present of a plant and adorable card that they both signed. My mom and dad sent me some gift cards with which I got a new Sunday dress. It seems like I've been in desperate need of some new clothes lately, so it really came in handy. Thanks mom! and did I mention just how great she is? I'm so glad to have such a fun, caring mother. And she probably does more for her grandkids who live a couple thousand miles away than most grandparents who live close!

Love ya mom - hope you had a great day.
