Just thought I'd post a little of what we've been up to the past few weeks.
Jake is becoming a little busy body, always carrying something around or getting into something. He has a fascination with getting inside of things. I've found him stuck in one of my kitchen drawers that he emptied out and inside Claire's toy box. As you can tell he also found the bag of cherries and went to town. He's becoming a handful at church and we are in the countdown stage til he's into nursery.
We went "hunckleberry" picking as Claire calls it, and the kids had a
fun time picking and eating. I had never been since we've lived in Idaho and I really enjoyed the drive and definitely want to make it a yearly event.
Chris and I went to a Chukar's game with his dad and sister, that is the Minor league team who's field is just down the street. Chris' work has box seats, so we got to go for free and had a great view. It was a lot of fun, I mostly go for the food - which was sooo good, it's nice not having to share my cotton candy with four tiny little hands! And if you're wondering what a Chukar is... I'll leave that one up to your imagination.
So that's what we've been up to.

Bountiful Temple
So I got this idea in my head that I would put up a black and white pic of the Bountiful temple in our new home - whenever that happens- because that's where we got married. As I started looking around the internet, I couldn't really find any prints that I liked, so while we were down there I took a few. When I first started doing photography I thought it would just be another phase, but I just fall more and more in love with it the more I do it.
July
Man, it's been a crazy month so far! We've been in Salt Lake the last three weekends. My parents were in town for vaca and to see my sisters new little boy Ethan. She's moving to Wyoming so it's was a nice time to spend with her before she lives even further away. We had lots of fun, hanging out, eating out, and shopping. We were able to go to my Grandma Knighton's 80th birthday party. It's was good to see a lot of cousins I don't get to see a lot, they also had some pretty neat pictures of my Grandpa that I hadn't seen before. It's so fun to see those pictures of my grandma and grandpa when they were young because I never knew my grandpa so it helped me connect a little bit. It was also great to hear a few stories about him too - dad! We also went to AJ's birthday party and had the yummiest sandwhich called Muffeleta, I've never had it before but it was so good it was worth mentioning. I WANT the recipe! Ethan was blessed that same week and we had a nice little Knighton reunion at Bear Lake. My uncle has a cabin up there with some gorgeous views and my folks rented a jet ski. I love Bear Lake, always enjoy it when I go. Chris' two cousins were also married that same weekend- Aubrey and Daniel. They both had beautiful weddings, despite the flu that was running around of which we got a few days later. Then we were back on Saturday for a Bennett reunion, I'm glad we went cause Chris really enjoyed spending time relatives he doesn't get to see very often. I just can't believe it's the end of July, July always goes so fast.

Summer fun
We went down to Utah this past weekend to go to the Manti pageant with Chris' family and to see my mom who is in town and my sister's new baby.
The pageant was really fun, there were a ton of people and I was surprised how they were able to fit so many people in. Claire loved the pageant and it was a really good learning experience for her. Jake was a good boy and slept through the whole thing. Claire also got to meet a few of the cast members which was fun, she was a little nervous at first but was really enthralled with their makeup and costumes.
We actually got out of Manti quickly, unfortunately Claire had to go potty. So we stopped at the first gas station we could find and there was a line at least 15 people long. Well since Claire is still new at the potty training business I wasn't sure she could hold it so I took her out to the car, got a pull-up on her and we continued to drive to find somewhere not so crowded, to my dismay there was no gas station for 40 miles! She was crying because she really needed to go and kept holding it, she wouldn't go in her pull-up, feeling like the worst mother in the world we pulled over on the side of the highway and of course she wouldn't go outside either. She made it about an hour before she finally gave in, which I think is some kind of a record for a 3 year old. Unfortunately her pull-up couldn't quite hold it all and she was soaked for the rest of the drive. It's definitely a drive I will never forget.
We had lots of fun with family, Claire of course was so sad to leave her cousins, but we'll be back next week for more fun times.
